Good day,

We have a customer using 3CX version 10 with VOIP unlimited as the VOIP Trunk provider. They are complaining of the phone calls through the VOIP Trunk being hard to hear regardless of turning the phone handset volume to max (Snom 300 phones)

Is there a setting in 3CX anywhere that we can turn up the volume of inbound VOIP Trunk calls, we have this option on the PSTN gateway for other customers however these are a purely VOIP customer.

Thanks in advance

I've never seen any sort of volume adjustment for VoIP trunks. It doesn't meant that it doesn't exist, i just haven't seen it. As the digital signal is converted to analogue in the set, that is where the level is normally changed. In a gateway, you have the same sort of digital to analogue conversion, hence the settings in the gateway.

You can, speak to your provider (perhaps they have a suggestion) or try a set registered directly to them to see if you have the same problem.

Have you tried any other make of sets, perhaps the 3CX softphone, to eliminate the sets (firmware?) as being the issue?
