I have noticed that the outgoing calls from one computer (Dect only phone) arent finding the Dect phone - " No Microphone" - V18 windows app.

The V18 app can recieve calls but not make them using the Make Call feature to Dect

I can still use the V16 App - so its not fatal.

I take it there is a missing link in the V18 app.

I have tried mutiple uninstall and re-install options.

BTW - Great new layout on the V18 app. !!

Hi @DBailey.NZ,

How have you gone about trying to set up the DECT device to be used via CSTA / CTI?

Also, what DECT device are you using?

Hi Vasilis,
I have tried CTI but no joy there.
The phone is a Yealink W60B DECT unit.
As I said, the V16 app works fine on the V18 System.
When I go to dial out using the V18 app i get an error message - No Microphone.
If, I then switch to using the V16 app it works using Make Call.
The V18 app works fine with incoming calls.

Cheers David

Hi @DBailey.NZ,

Can you provide me with a screenshot of the No Microphone error?

Can you walk me through the steps to replicate?

I use the App to select a contact.

click on dial - phone icon

Error message appears

Hi @DBailey.NZ,

If you go into the settings, then choose Audio/Video, does a mic show up under Microphone?

If no, does Windows detect a mic?

Same problem here with Snom M700.
The DECT Phone won't show up as a device in the App, so neither MakeCall nor CSTA work.
(Which is why @DBailey.NZ gets the microphone error, the new DesktopApp defaults to Softclient mode regardless of 3CX Extension setting.

Tried setting the "uaCSTA" option in the extension on the SNOM M700 base to Enabled, without luck.
I absolutely need a way to initiate calls to Handsets via Snom M700, every single customer of ours uses this feature. Otherwise I can't roll out the new DesktopApp :(

The old/legacy Windows App is not going to be removed for the foreseeable future, so you can still use that.
