My question is similar to the one posted in this thread: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/call-out-alert-on-a-voicemail.71306/
That thread was closed before a correct solution was given.
I have a client who's current phone system has an after hours emergency hot line. Someone calls the main number, selects the extension of the emergency hot line, and then leaves a voicemail message on that extension. AFTER the emergency message has been left, the system then calls a few different outside cell numbers and lets them know an emergency voicemail has been left for them. I need to duplicate this with 3cx. Just sending out an email notification after a voicemail is left is NOT acceptable. A call needs to me made by the system.
I believe that I can have the people who receive the emergency calls add the 3CX app to their cell phones, so those phones will become just another basic extension on the main system. I can set up a ring group to call those 3CX app extensions phones in order - if one extension doesn't answer after 20 seconds, the ring group calls the next 3CX app cell phone extension, etc, etc.
I think that will work. (I haven't figured out yet what happens if the cell phone of the first guy goes directly to his cell's voicemail, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.)
Most important at this point - before any of the above can happen, the 3cx system has to recognize that a voicemail has been left, and then AFTER THAT, originate a call to the other extensions. Is this possible?
