Hi All,

Just a quick one. When doing a manual install of 3cx on Microsoft Hyper V it's recommended to disable integrated services and install the ntp service.

Whilst the integrated services bit isn't relevant for Google Could does anybody have any knowledge of whether an ntp service is still required.

Couple of things I'm thinking I could check myself.

a) Maybe the ntp service is enabled in the Google Cloud base image of Debian ??

b) I guess I could rummage through the PBX express install and see if it installs anything extra

c) Maybe Google Cloud's virtualization platform is much better at managing/sharing time issues in general.

Be interesting if anyone has any working experience re above before I commence my investigations.

Thanks in advance,

Dave.

Hi @seegreen,

The NTP service is required. It's a safeguard to ensure that the PBX runs correctly because a large number of operations and functions truly rely on correct time (Security, Calls, Logging amongst other things).
