Is my thought process correct to use master and slave PBX systems? I have 5 offices in total

  1. I want to be able have offices call each other not just from one to a main location but from salve pbx to slave pbx
  2. I want to be able to quickly change a queue to another office if one office happens to go down or has very limited staff

How do a slave PBX call to another Salve PBX if that is possible?

You would establish Bridge trunks between all PBXs if required. It does not have to be a "star" configuration with only one "master" PBX. One might be a master to one PBX, but a slave to another.
You are awesome responding btw! Thanks!

So i make a Master/Slave connection to each office essentially? That is a lot of connections to make

If you had 4 offices, then that is 3 Bridge trunks in each office. However, depending on traffic (and other factors), you may choose to have calls for one office, tandem through another office, rather than go direct..
