Mediant 500 gateway

Hello,
we've been asked if its possible to use the audiocodes Mediant 500 as a gateway for 3cx.
We got a test device but are not allowed to login to this device.
We tried to register it as a generic device but arent able to register it.
We're using 3cx v16.0.676
Anyone has any experience with this device or can point us in the good direction?

Definitely you should not go down this route. If you need a gateway buy a supported one. If you dont want to throw away your gateway buy another PBX.... (madness in my view but each to his own)

@bashrael we help one partner deploy AudioCodes M1K E1 gateway with the 3CX V16 this January. Here comes the guide of the configuration on both sides https://3x.58voip.com/audiocodes-connect-guide/. However, it is in Chinese, you can try to use google translation to read it. Hope it will help.

Where I do agree with @Nick Galea (buying a supported gateway is the best option) I have noticed 3CX appearing as an choice in their Audiocodes SBC Wizard (this will create an auto template for the device).
