Messaging from 3rd party system to 3CX phone(s) ?

I develop systems integrations for SSG (Static Systems Group) a nurse call manufacturer in the UK.
We have a customer than has asked if we can forward nurse call events from our systems as a message to their 3CX telephone(s).
i.e. Emergency in Room 7A
We have achieved this with other telephone providers using a provided API or Protocol (and/or a hardware interface).
I assume the 3CX phone system have something similar ?

The intent is to add text on the phone display? I cannot think of a way to do that with 3CX. You might be able to use a web API in the phone to do something like that depending on the phone manufacturer.

Our 3CX Emergency Notifier tool uses multiple simultaneous channels to send notifications (phone, email, SMS, desktop popup, and overhead paging).
