MIC volume low on Samsung Galaxy S-II

Users complain the MIC volume is very low (and non-adjustable) using 3CX Phone (1.3.2 w/ tunnel) on Samsung Galaxy S-II phones. Any ideas ?

Hi,

I also have the low volume mic issue with my samsung galaxy s2.

Here is what i have found from :

the S II has TWO MICROPHONES. Yes, the phone has one microphone on the top, right to the headphone plug and one on the bottom, right to the usb plug.

Most voip clients are using by default the wrong upper microphone. So raising the microphone gain is just a workaround for this issue.

It would be nice that 3cx developpers fix this issue with our Samsung S2.

Hi,

I did some tests and I confirm that the MIC on the upper side of the Samsung Galaxy S2 is the enabled one when using the 3CX Phone applicaton for Android. This is why you need the Mic Gain set at maximum value (8), as a workaround, when speaking toward the bottom mic of the phone.

The tests were made on the 1.3.4 version of the application.

Please have this issue fixed as soon as possible.
