Hi All,

We have a client using the Microsoft 365 integration, calendar sync only to change status of extension when there is an appointment on their calendar.

The user wants to manually change the extension status back to available even though the appointment is there. When they change the status of the extension via the Web Client, after a short period of time the extension will change back to DND.

I have tested this on our own setup and experience the same behaviour.

Does anyone know of a way to override this without disabling the integration with 365?

Thanks

When you create a appointment in Outlook, it defaults to show as "busy" = DND, you can teach the user to create calendar items using Show As "Free" if they want to take calls yet add things to their calendar..

I sort of wish 3CX mapping wasn't Busy = DND. We ended up turning off the sync.

This is the solution I do for my customers

I used the App it will instantly change the status without going back to DND.

Can it be changed to only change the phone status once? Change it at the start of the meeting and then don't change it again so if the meeting ends early and you manually change the status back to available, it stays that way. There really is no need to keep checking the status once it was set. I don't know about others but most of our meetings end early so it's a real pain to have to change the or delete the meeting in your calendar.

Hi David,

This is the way sync was intended to work, keep 3CX in sync with whatever the state on O365 is.

So it is normal to see this behavior exactly as you have described it.

No unfortunately this is not something you can control, it will just sync up and check again shortly.

The idea is that if the status should change in O365, it should also change on 3CX (without any assumptions about a meeting's length)

Thanks for the responses. I have let my customer know it is by design and that they can mark an appointment in Outlook as Free so that the extension status does not change.
