Migrate to new ISP

Hi Guys

I'm planning to migrate my 3CX Instance to a new ISP.

My question is this, how do i change the public IP of the current instance and have it work as expected?

My Instance is currently hosted as a Hyper-v instance, so i'm merely exporting the VM and will be importing to a Hyper-v Host server at the new ISP.

Any help appreciated.

In the PBX, navigate under the Dashboard >> Advanced >> Network and set the new public ip.
You might also set it first to dyanamic and once you restart the services you will see in the Dashboard that a new ip is detected.
Then navigate above, set the new ip to static.
Once you restart the PBX services, the FQDN ip will also be updated.

Hello,

You should follow the ISP/OS instructions to change the systems IP - after that you will need via IP to go to the Admin console, Advanced->Network and make sure the correct update IP is added there too.

If you know the new IP(s) before the move, and all the ones using the PBX now, going to IP Blacklist and Console Restrictions to allow them in advance might help you avoid any of your systems/access being locked out due to the move.

Thx guys, i'll attempt to set the IP before the move.

If that fails, is there a way to set the IP via command line?

So you’re changing the IP inside the Debian VM? You can edit /etc/network/interfaces, there’s lots of instructions online. Presumably you have console access?
