Migrating to cloud - how to avoid backup version error?

My on premise version is 18.0 (Build 912). When I tried last week I installed in the cloud from the ISO, then when I tried to restore I got the "backup newer than the 3CX version" error. How do I avoid this please? Would really rather be able to restore to the right version from the start!

If thats occuring then you're gonna have to first set up the 3CX as a fresh install with the license key, run updates until its up to date and then upload the backup to the VPS then restore.
