Migration 3CX On premise

Dear Team,
I hope you are doing well.
I need to migrate a 3CX v20 instance from one VMware host to another. The hosts are located on different networks and are protected by different firewalls.
Could you please advise on the recommended steps and best practices to ensure a smooth and secure migration?

Full backup, Turn off, Restore.

Or.. if license allows.

Set up the 2nd VM as standby and failover to it.

Assume WAN IP changes too so take this in to consideration for DNS.

I posted elsewhere relatively recently, but just to repeat it, Pro 3CX FQDN TTLs are 10 minutes now.

First install 3CX on new machine, then restore fullback with licence? Machine IPs are different.

It doesnt matter.

what you may need to do, is if your old 3CX is a higher version then the one downloadable, you may have to install new PBX as new install with your license key, get it updated to the same version and then restore.

Dont forget to turn off any console restrictions before you take your backup.
