Migration from On-Prem to Cloud (Linux)

I'm trying to import users exported from PBX server running on Windows to the server that is running on Linux V20, however I'm getting errors with the csv files there are missing columns. Ive trying to fix this issue but I'm failing. Cant i run a script perhaps to avoid this issue, as i know i cannot alter the csv. The on-prem is on version 18.0 update 9 hence there is a huge difference of csv files.

Why not simply restore your latest backup from v18? It should be able to be restored on a fresh v20 setup, as long as it is on the latest v18 Update 9.

You do a setup with the complete backup from v18 ?

If you want to clean-up and start with a new setup in v20 (with some exports)
you could try to do it in 2 steps.
Import a complete backup from the V18, or setup from new with backup from v18
There export alle the information you want in V20
Start again with new V20, and import the V20 parts you have created.

Would that be an option?

if i do a complete backup of V18 that mean what ever that is on V20 will be overridden. The linux server is running with users there i just wanted to add the users from on-prem

The current Linux is running on V20, and if upload a backup from on-prem it will override everything that is currently on the cloud server

you can also use the backup on windows pc/laptop, where you (just for a short periode) can install 3CX and restore the backup local
Once you have the exports from the local 3CX PC/Laptop on V20 you can import them into the Cloud 3CX Server.

i have installed 3cx on Windows locally running V20, tried to upload the backup it refuses "system owner" issue. I know i did setup this not sure how come there is no longer a system owner in place. Went through the logs nothing there.

So you need to first go back to V18 and correct the problem of the Owner
https://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/3CXPhoneSystem18.exe
Then create a new backup in V18.
Install the V20 back on the PC/Laptop
https://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/3CXPhoneSystem20.exe
Re-install with the good backup from v18, this should now work.

Export the data you want on V20 level, to use for import on the V20 Cloud system.
Should all be possible.

So you can not get the V18 working, or yes?
You do not need to have a big license, as long as you can log in and get exports, thats all.
