Hey Everyone,

I want to install a 3cx server at my office.

I would like to know if anyone has checked to see, the ratio between minutes and MBs.

EG If I talk 3000 Min. on my cell phone how many MBs will it use via a UTMS network.

Thanks a lot!!!

Alon.

My carrier does not have an unlimited plan.

However they do have a 5gb plan, but it's abit pricey.

I am only asking because I am tring to figure out if it makes sence or not.

Will Do!

I will update the feed when I do, so that everyone will know the answer.

Well the easiest way is just to calculate it manually. With G711 the data rate is about 9kbs, but we'll say 10 for simplicity and to be on the safe side :)

1024kb (1mb) / 10kbs = 102.4seconds
102.4seconds / 60 = 1.7minutes
So 1 mb is approx 1.7 minutes of talking on the G711 codec

Based on Justin's figures, 1GB is around 1700 minutes, and 5GB is a lot of minutes.

Remember, though, that you'll be paying for data for calls you receive as well as those you make, when comparing to a capped mobile plan.

Also here is a link where you can put in your monthly minutes & it
will tell you your Mbps used per month. Hope this helps
