Solved Missing Configuration Wizard / ISO checksum

Hey there,

I've installed the 3CX Debian ISO under Hyper-V, but after the debian setup completed successfully and after the VM re-booted, there is no 3CX installer, branding (motd), or prompt for the installation wizard as described in the docs:

Also, I can't check the ISO's integrity as there are no official checksums released.

Not so promising for an enterprise-grade PBX system... Are the docs outdated?

After re-downloading the ISO I see the checksum is the same, so I assume that's correct.

Also I do now remember there was a 3CX installer after the first reboot. I chose the stable update channel, packages were downloaded.

But again, after that was complete, the VM rebooted and that's it. Nothing happens when I login. Docs state the config wizard is available after that reboot:

15. Select ‘Yes’ and press the <Enter> key to confirm writing the changes to the disk. The install process can take about 10-20 minutes, depending on your machine’s performance. When the Debian installer finishes, the machine will be rebooted and the 3CX installation will start automatically.

16. After the 3CX installation is complete, you need to select how you want to configure 3CX. The 2 options are (1) via a Web Browser and (2) using the command line. Select option (1) to use a web browser on another machine, and point your browser to http://<ip of machine>:5015.

Through bash-complete I found the command "3CXStartWizard.sh", when executed this opens a new VTY and prints "/usr/bin/sudo: No such file or directory" to the VTY it was run in.

After I installed sudo, the same thing happens, only this time /usr/sbin/3CXWizard is not found.

I found the error: Packages weren't downloaded properly because of a Sophos UTM Firewall proxying requests. Odd, because we're running multiple ubuntu boxes in the same network without problems.

After installing the ISO for the third time, I had to accept the EULA after selecting the release channel, and the setup wizard started automatically after rebooting.

I suppose checking for dependencies at the end of the installer routine would be a good idea...
