Hi All

I've recently installed a v16 debian system for a long standing 3cx client, moving from Windows. This was a fresh install with no legacy data or settings imported. All phones (SNOM) updated to latest 3cx supplied firmware.

Server is a Core i3, 8GB RAM 120GB SSD
3cx is v16.0.6.641

Client is using voicemail to email, using 3cx smtp server, send with .wav attachment. They have a business process wherby the sales team call in daily over an intense 60 minute period to report activities. The sales admin plays vms via email to hear the reports and update databases, then they delete the vms using web client or on the phone.

The client has reported some instances where an incoming caller is sent to vm, but is not emailed, nor appears on the extn web client. The call does appear in the call logs.

Today I investigated using winscp to connect to the server and found the 'missing' vm stored on the server in the ../ivr/extnno folder. The file plays ok and is not corrupted, its the full message.

This particular message was not emailed. Its not appearing in the extn web client.

To help investigate this can I ask

Has anyone else had this issue?
Can someone point me towards any logs to check processing the vm into the system database, though email (smtp logs?). I've checked the various log files that might give me a hint, downloading various blrec and bldef and using the log viewer but cant see anything meaningful.

Any feedback would be helpful please

Just as a further observation on this, I found that 'missing' vms do not have an associated .xml file. so I'm guessing that file might be part of the database/process to send email and appear on webclient. can anyone comment?

I have little to offer in the way of an explanation of your issue. What I can do is suggest how you address this particular voicemail. First, create a matching XML file using another voicemail XML as a pattern. Then copy the .wav and XML files to the appropriate voicemail extension folder. 3CX will recognize the new voicemail automatically.

Thanks for the feedback, yes I've tried that and it works so the vm can be seen.

The client is now reporting messages missing and there are no files in the ../extnno folder, even though the call log shows the call arrived, unanswered went to vmail 666 and there is a call duration to the vm leg of the call. I'm starting to suspect there is an issue with 3cx call handling/vm processes whereby at a busy time it can't handle concurrent 'writes' to the /extnno folder, perhaps file/table locking in the db. I'm going to suggest trying to split the traffic to see if that helps.
