Hi,

I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. I have noticed that the phone kills the 3CX app every day or two. I have tried setting "Autostart" to ON, removing all Battery Saver restrictions, and even locked the 3CX app using the MIUI interface, but the app still gets killed. It is very frustrating as I just do not know when it is going to be running or not. I noticed the same behavior on a Redmi Note 9 (ie not the Pro version). Do you have any information which may help?

best regards,
Adrian

Hi @Adrian A.,
Your observation is correct as we have noticed this behavior on other devices as well. Some OEMs attempt aggressive power management methods that terminate infrequently used apps, but break app functionality on the way. The only extra piece of information we can provide that may be of some help, is to go in 'App info' > 'Notifications' and set:
  • ‘Calls’ >
    • ‘Show notifications’ = [enabled]
    • ‘Importance‘ = ‘High’
    • ‘On the Lock screen’ = ‘Show all notifications and their content’
  • ‘Chat >
    • ‘Show notifications’ = [enabled]
    • ‘Importance‘ = ‘High’
    • ‘On the Lock screen’ = ‘Show all notifications and their content’

Hi Kiriakos,

thank you for the details. However, that is how my settings already are, and the app keeps getting killed. Is there any other thing I can do? Is there a third party app that can be set to open the app on a schedule, for example?

You can try with various automation apps available on the Play store, but have in mind that there is no guarantee those will run reliably and not be terminated by the system. PM me if you make progress.
