Mobile app not able to Register from internal network

My customer having V20 Windows installation. And mobile app is not registering from the ofiice wifi . I connected a laptop in to same wifi and tested with windows app and it is working. Only mobile app (qr code scanning ) is not working from internal network.

Can you confirm if from the same phone, you connect via browser to the Webclient?

Some phones can have their DNS "hardcoded" to manufacturer controlled DNS servers, and use those even if your WiFi/DHCP provide internal DNS - in this scenario the phone has an internal IP, sees the external PBX IP and your edge router doesn't have hairpin NAT to flip the request back inside. Check if the phone(s) have the secure DNS / HTTPS DNS by google or similar options active

Hello,

Some WIFI products use some own internal LAN option. Meaning it is like a small router where the WIFI devices are NOT on the office LAN (example 192.168.200.x), but are connected on an internal WIFI LAN (example 192.168.1.x).
With this the DHCP will not cover the split DNS.
This is just a tip, your installation may be totally differend (i do not know).

Seems its a problem with your DNS and the phones are resolving your public IP instead inside. You may follow this guide regarding 3CX Split DNS https://www.3cx.com/docs/creating-fqdn-split-dns/

can you please do a nslookup and see whats the IP your getting as response?

Do you have a local DNS server? If not you will have to add pointer the router your using

2. Flush your DNS and check
3. From your phone VLAN you can reach your 3CX subnet?

When i am checking "nslookup" from outside the network, it replying with my public Ip address, "nslookup" from my wifi it replying with the local server ip address

From your Wi-Fi Network are you able to reach the 3CX server? Port TCP/UDP 5090 and TCP 443

What we know now, it that you are working on the WIFI, and the WIFI is not on the same LAN, it actually is on a VLAN seporated from the 3CX.

When working on the laptop on wifi, can you ping the 3CX server internal on the LAN, example on 192.168.1.100?
If not this means you will have to go external by the FQDN, and Split DNS will not help you on the WIFI.

Correct. We have wifi in different VLAN, I can access the 3cx server using the local IP 192.168.96.17 from my wifi network, but if i am trying with FQDN, 3cx is not accessable, both 192.168.96.17 and FQDN are pinging from wifi.
