Hi,

I have uploaded 2 MOH in settings / MOH
When I call in to test, and put myself in hold, only the first file is played in a loop.
I'd assume if I have more than 1 file, it would go from 1 to the next up to file 9?

To make sure that my 2nd file was correct, I switched MUSIC FILE 0 with the drop down box, and selected the file I had for MUSIC FILE 1
In this case, the 2nd file plays correctly, which shows me that the format is correct.

Then I go back and from the drop down box select my first file for Music file 0, and 2nd file for Music file 1
The bottom option "Randomixe playback" is not checked.
Still, when I place an external call on hold, when the end of Music File 0 is reached, it plays back again, in a loop..

Is this how it's supposed to work? Are the Music files # in case we want to be able to select them in different queues?
Or are they here really to be played in a sequence, in which case it does not work here?

Thank you all

I created a PlayList.
I see in the playlist it says those list can be used for:
- queues
- parked calls
- conference calls
- calls placed on hold

so I went around the settings, and found out that:
- If I select a playlist under the Music on hold for queues, this playlist is only played when a call is in the queue, waiting to be picked up by an agent. Once an agent picks up the call, and put the call on hold, then the FIRST file from the Music On Hold settings (Music FILE 0) is played only. I did not find a way to use a Playlist for those calls.

- Under Settings / Conferencing, I found the OnHold where I can put a playlist.

- Under call parking settings, I was able to put a playlist

The only place I can't find to setup are the Queues once an agent picks up a call and put it on hold, and the general hold. Anyone has a hint on that? I tried to replace the DEFAULTAUDIOFILE with the path for the playlist, but it did not work.

So at this point, if Settings / MOH Settings has 9 files (not playlist), and if the Randomize option is not checked, what's the point of having 9 files if only the first one is used?

The 10 audio files in the "General MOH" are only used when the "Randomize Playback" option is enabled, otherwise, only the audio file in "Music file 0" will be used as you have already noticed. When "Randomize Playback" is enabled, you can either have a random audio file selected per call or per day, and that audio file will play on repeat for that call or day depending on what you selected.

If you want them to play sequentially you could create a playlist and then select that playlist in "Music file 0"(Do note that items in the playlist get alphabetically ordered automatically). Alternatively, you could use an audio editing tool and stitch all audio files into one in the order you prefer and then have that file selected in "Music file 0".

@ChrisC_3CX

Thank you for your answer. I started to add files in the HOLD list , then created a playlist , and never went back to MUSIC FILE 0 to found out that I could see the playlist in the drop down box. Working now, all on hold calls have the same playlist regardless of where they are. Thanks a ton !

PS: The only thing is changing Music File 0 to a playlist did not work right off the bat. Even after all calls were hung up. I had to reboot the system for this to be taken in account.
