MOH to loud.

My customer is complaining that the MOH is to loud.
This is the onhold.wav file.
It is no problem for me too lower the volume of this file that is not the issue.

I have a call queue with a intro prompt.
After playing the full prompt the call will be forwarded to the different phones.
In the queue music on hold i have a normal progresstone. this is working fine.
After somebody takes up the phone and puts the caller on hold the caller hears the onhold.wav file.

Is this the onhold.wave file that you can find in the Settings - Music on Hold ?
If I upload the new lesser loud onhold.wav file and replace the exiting onhold.wav is this enough?

3CX Version is 16.0.619 9 (linux)

Yes.

Create a copy and edit it and then save it as onhold_lowervol.wav or something then change the MOH from the drop down list from Settings > MOH

Even if you have no link to onhold.wav in MOH list, settings in 3CX continue to link on onhold.wav
So if you change file name or use another don't forget to go here in settings / settings, search for MOH
and change file name where you need.


for example on one customer i recently change all the music files, nothing was set to onhold.wav in MOH list but when I park a call it was always onhold.wav played, so I changed file name here in settings and now this is no more onhold.wav.
I can't stand to hear this 3CX music by default anymore
