We have an on-premise 3cx 15.5 latest version. Our company will move to another building with another public IP. What is the procedure when the public ip changes?

We also have some rapsberry pi sbc devices on remote locations. Should we change something there too?

Regards,

Thomas

Confirm what type of public IP you have set - static or dynamic ? if dynamic then as long as your FQDN is remaining the same then you should be fine.

If static set the Public IP allocation to dynamic and reboot, it should take a little time to propagate and then re-bind. Failing that back your config up forgetting "Public IP and FQDN information" and re-install but you must un-bind your FQDN from the public IP to use the same FQDN.

SBC's should be OK too IF you are keeping the same FQDN.

If you use an FQDN, then that is all that has be updated of the IP change. the SBC should be using that, and not your IP directly.

To change the FQDN, have a read through this...

There are a number of other people asking the same question, if you do a search.

Hello @Thomas Six

As mentioned if you set your IP type to Dynamic the PBX will detect the change and will update the DNS entry. It will take a few hours to propagate but it will.
Will you keep the same local IP of the server? If not then that can be changed as well if you are running the latest service pack. The system will detect the change and will ask you to change the IP and restart the services.
