Move 3CX to another server but both servers should be running.

We're planning to move potential customer's 3CX system to another server in another country. Custom FQDN and ENT license should remain the same. The idea is to take backup of existing server, deploy this backup on a new server in another country, but the original server should continue working as a production system, since we need to make additional configuration and test everything on a new server. Almost in every forum thread about server's migration it's said that you have to switch off original server before deploying new server, but this doesn't suit us because we need some time (probably several days) to prepare new server and customer cannot have interruption in 3CX system working.
So, the question is it really required to switch off original server and can we have 2 servers running simultaneously with the same FQDN and license before final switch to a new server?

If on v18 then you can backup without the license and restore to a temp license to do your testing.

you will not be able to run the two servers at the same time unless in backup/failover mode.

or if you are able to, your FQDN will be fighting for DNS changes..

No, it's latest v20 version. It looks like there is no possibility to backup without license and fqdn? What would be available ways to organize such migration?

You cannot backup without FQDN.

You could try the following but im not sure if it would work (theoretically id have thought it would).

Backup the 3CX, build your VM, restore 3CX and get it online.

Remove the access to the internet from it and then do a license refresh on original server.

you should be able to play with your 3CX install.
