In process of moving from Windows virtual machine to Debian standalone appliance.

Using same LAN IP address and same settings for both old and new machines. Ran a backup from the old machine to use for the new one.

A 3cx document states that I would need to deactivate the license on the old machine, then activate on the new one.

However, I can't find a deactivation area within 3cx admin. I have an active pro license.

More importantly, is deactive/reactive really needed if just moving from one machine another on the same LAN? Unless the license is locked down to MAC address of the device?

I found this in another thread, from March 2020:
If you want to move a machine without changing your licence or your FQDN you can just perform a full backup and restore that backup to the new machine.
We will get the guide removed to avoid future confusion.

So this probably answers my question.

Yep. As long as the old machine stays offline you'll be fine.
