Solved Moving from 3cx hosted to self hosted

We are going to host 3cx ourselves. We built a vm with the debian image 3cx provides. Then I have taken a backup of the phone system but not yet installed.

When I install the backup to our own server (just for testing), do I need to turn off the 3cx hosted system or can they run side by side? If so, how do I do this?

Hi @stephan23,

Please be noted that the 3CX hosted machine needs to be deleted or powered off. Otherwise, your FQDN will point to 2 IP addresses which is not recommended.

How do you turn it off? I am not ready to delete it just yet. I just want to turn it off so I can test the new system.

Hi,

Please login to your customer portal (http://customer.3cx.com/), navigate to 'My Subscriptions' page and select 'Hosted' tab. Click the Stop button in order to shutdown your machine (Check screenshot attached)
