Normally most of our clients in Doha Qatar, use 3CX with PRI line. As PRI line cannot directly connect to 3CX servers, we used to have gateways like Yeastar/Yealink, Avaya IP Office, Cisco CCME 2910, 2911 etc etc. Now ISPs in Qatar like Ooredoo and Vodafone decided to move away from PRI and install SIP everywhere.
In this case you can actually remove the gateway devices and connect directly to 3CX server, with less conversion the voice quality will be better and more stable. You need to create or edit SIP trunk ( Generic SIP trunk as Ooredoo SIP not listed on 3CX configuration ) and point the IP to the Ooredoo device. Nees to make changes on Inboud and Outboud routing as well.
