Started out with a pbxexpress setup by 3cx.
I knew in a week I had found a winner.
Today I setup a new 3cx system under my google cloud platform.
I backed up the old system, restored to the new.
I see two issues right now (may be more)
1. Calls are still being handled by the old system.
2. I cannot get into the new system via https://xxx.3cx.us:5001 but I can using the direct ip.

Hi,

- did you use pbxexpress to deploy your GCP ? (much better as it deals with all firewall settings etc.)

Process :

- shutdown or at least unplug network on old instance
- switch new instance to dynamic IP, wait to check that it's ok and showing new IP
- switch back to static IP

Never switch again old instance on !

That should make the trick :)

first instance was 3cx pbxexpress to cloud
new install was from google cloud platform deployment manager
obviously i cannot unplug the initial deployment

You can't have two instances using the same key running at once. You'll have to reach out to 3CX to decommission the original instance first and then restart your new one so it grabs the FQDN. PM @JohnS_3CX or @YiannisH_3CX .

You can also stop the services on the old instance and restart the new one as a short term measure until the PBXExpress instance can be removed. Besides PMing via the forum you can also reach out via the contact page:

I did try contacting them via the contact page, (also to let them know how obnoxious the "Now Free for 3 Years" Banners Are.
My email was denied.
