Multi calls not ringing

We have a ring group setup with three users and each user has the accept multiple calls box checked. When a call is presented to that group only the idle phones ring. Each phone has three line keys assigned to them so we need multiple calls to ring on all three of these phones. The ring group type is ring all

It doesn't work that way for ring groups. You can vote here:

In the Panel page of the web client/desktop app the user can see calls and pick up a call, or use dial codes to pick up a call.

Please note that receiving multiple calls to a single extension from Ring Groups is not possible.

If you would like to pick up a second call from a Ring Group, you will need to park the current call using a BLF key configured for a shared parking place or transfer the call to parking orbit. This will release the call from the phone. You can then pick up another call using the call pick-up feature (*20*) or BLF keys configured for extensions that are in the Ring Group and are ringing.

You can also put the call on hold, open a new line using the line keys, and perform a call pickup to answer the new call.

Note though that you can not get auditable representations of new calls while in another call from a ring group, but this is possible visually using the Panel section within a 3CX Desktop App or Webclient.

ok what is the proper way to have a front desk answer inbound calls. i have three extensions that ring when a new call comes into the business.

Can’t I have the phone just ring on the next available line key. I see the article you linked to but it’s 8 years old, 3cx has still not made a way for a group of phones to take on more than one call at a time? If I move them away from startup and onto a pro license could I then achieve what I’m trying to do?

You can always use Call Queues instead of Ring Groups and the callers will wait in the queue until an agent becomes available(in case all three agents are busy)
