I have three sites, A, B and C.
Connected via MPLS
Local Server is at Location A.

Multicast Paging works at Location A as expected.
We are working on passing Multicast traffic with the ISP but I have heard some ISP refuse to allow multicast over a WAN? If this was a hosted cloud server...is Multicast paging possible?

Wanted to ask if there was any other ways to get Multicast paging to work with only having one server...right now in the other locations we are making it a large ring group to accomplish the page, but this is a large location and Multicast would solve so many issues.

If you only need multicast paging within a site and not across multiple sites the yealink and likely other phones can be manually configured (custom template) to have a blf key make the multicast pages directly and don’t need to go through a ring group on the pbx. This way for each site the multicast paging works locally.

So lets forget the hypothetical game and just deal with your scenario. If you can forward multicast across your private connnection then yes you can use multicast. If you can't then you can't. This isn't a 3CX issue this is a networking issue. If you needed multicast paging at a site but you can't pass multicast traffic between 3CX and that site then you need something that can register as a SIP endpoint and then do your multicast locally (at each site).

The Cyberdata Paging server works well.

@cobalit is correct this is a networking issue and not 3CX. If ISP does not support multicast which is most likely the case, you may need to invest in say some Cisco routers and do Multicast over GRE. Also if your PBX is hosted your options are further limited by hoster.

Also i have never tested 3cx multicast paging over WAN with GRE tunnels so not sure how this behaves in such a scenario.
