Hello,

I have set up a multicast paging group in the 3CX. The settings were taken over in the approximately 10 Yealink T46G and the phones also respond when dialing the 700 (extension number of the multicast group set up in the 3CX). Unfortunately, the receiving phones rush so badly that the announcement can hardly be understood.
I have now tried to skip the 3CX and set up for the same multicast address a multicast paging BLF key on a Yealink. When pressing this key the multicast paging on the other Yealinks works wonderfully and without noise. Has anyone an idea what could be the problem when initiating a multicast paging over the 3CX?

Thank you!

Hello,

Does anyone have any idea what the mistake is?

Thank you!

Hello @PDY

It could be the codec the PBX is using that might be different than the one the phone is using or the audio path from the phone is more direct which results in less noise.
Is the PBX and phones in the same subnet?

I also thought of the codec, but both the 3CX as well as the Yealink use the same codec and the same subnet for multicast.

I would recommend running a wireshark capture of the 2 scenarios and compare them to see what is different and might be causing the issue. Alternatively you can create a ticket with our support department so they can take a look at the issue
