Hello. I have a sip trunk provider with two DIDs. I have one sip trunk setup in 3cx and both numbers are registered in this one sip trunk configuration.

My issue is that I need to route these DIDs to separate ring groups, but it seems that I can only choose one route that applies to both DIDs.

Do I need to create two SIP trunk configurations in 3cx, one for each DID, in order to route them differently? I always assumed that I could create one sip trunk configuration with 2 numbers and then route calls based on incoming rules, but that doesn't seem to be the case?

no you need to create inbound rules, one for each DID

That is what I thought, but it's like it's ignoring the rules entirely. I have one rule for each number. To test I set the rule for the second number to simply end the call, but it is still routing to a ring group.

stay on one thread please, I answered on the other one

Here is my list of rules:

start your DID number with a * followed by 6 ending digit of each DID. Almost you are sure about number format received match with your rule
Just change this in your 2 rules
