I am uisng a Grandstream GXP-2000 withthe latest f/w.

It has 4 lines, but all of them are set as 1 extension.
So if someone calls, they get the busy message. Which I am trying to avoid.

Is there a way to config the phone to do call waiting, or assign additional extensions to the other 3 lines?

Thanks,
David

Usually, from what I've seen, sets with keys available for multiple extensions will default to the same number(key one) on all keys. If you want multiple calls to the same number, to ring in on a second or third key, then you have to set how 3CX determines whether the extension is busy or not. In the extension settings(in 3CX) you can set either set or PBX. if you set PBX then any second call will go off to voicemail. If you chose set, then if there is a second key that is idle, the call will ring in on that. You will have to go into the set options if you want some of the other keys to register as other extension numbers.

leejor,

Thanks for you help.

I looked under the extension settings, but could not find a set or PBX option.

I am running 3CX 8.0.10824.716 on WinXP SP3.

Thanks,
David

Forwarding Rules tab in extension configuration.
Advanced tab: "Busy detection mechanism"
Simple tab: "I want to be able to accept more then 1 call at the same time"

Thanks, got it working. :)
