mute button turns on "do not disturb"

Hi, we're using v16 update 2 with mostly Grandstream GXP1625 phones. The mute button turns "do not disturb" on and off. Anyone know if there is a way to have this strictly a mute button? I know there is *60 and *61 as well, but our management doesn't want anyone to be able to turn on "do not disturb" just by pressing the mute button. Thanks

Hi @proboscis

This is the default behaviour of the button when the device is not on a call as there is no dedicated Do Not Disturb button.
You could change this via a custom template and provision the devices using that but i would not recommend it as custom templates are not supported.

Thanks for the info! It looks like I can it on the phone UI itself under Call Features - Mute Key Functions While Idle - Options are DND, Idle Mute, and Disabled

It will probably reset to the default if you're using the official template since it probably contains that setting.

I do not think it does *6x - I recall it doing *3x.
