I'm a newbie to 3cx, please be kind even if the question is answerable by the manual, I just don't know where to look.

I'm not using the assistant.

I am using 2 trunks. One receives calls and the other one can receive and also dial out.

I am using 2 extensions and each has the "My mobile number" checked an the voice mail disabled. Each also are setup to transfer the call to "My mobile #" at all times.

When the attendant picks up the phone and the caller press any of the 2 extension numbers 3cx is supposed to dial out the mobile number associated with that extension and it is supposed to dial out through the trunk that has a dial out rule going. When I look into the trunk status as I call any of the numbers associated with the 2 trunks I can see that it says "connected" or something to that effect in the respective trunk and when I press an extension number the trunk status switches from "connected" to "Dialing" but at that moment the call gets disconnected!

Another interesting thing is that despite the fact that the trunk that can only receive calls does not have a dial out rule, when it receives a call and you press an extension number its status goes from "connected" to "Dialing". So I wonder why is 3cx trying to dial from that trunk whatsoever instead of from the other one. And when you try calling the trunk that can receive and make calls its status also goes from "connected" to "Dialing" but in both situations the call gets disconnected.

At one point I had the voice mail enabled and the status would go from "connected" to "Dialing" and then it will go into voice mail. When I disabled the voice mail the status will go from "connected" to "Dialing" and then the call will simply disconnect. Very frustrating indeed.

I hope some kind soul would please shed some light into this.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Please try to be kind with my English/grammar etc. It is my second language

Have a look at the 3CX logs. If you can't see why things aren't working, then post a log of one of the calls that fails.

Here is the log

Re: : ( My Mobile Number field: 3cx can't dial it out!

Does anyone understand these logs? I can see that the system right before disconnecting it tries to connect to [email protected]
What is is supposed to be [email protected]? I know what 127.0.0.1 is, I mean that's the machine itself and [email protected] is the auto attendant and so on but 99? Maybe it has nothing to do I have no idea, thoug all I know is that shortly after that the call disconnects!

Anyone?

(PLEASE!!

) :

Does anyone know?

IT FINALLY WORKS!

Since only one forum member was generous enough to offer any help and considering that this post got over 30+ visits and no one else did I guess that it doesn't matter how I solved the problem or if I ever solved it or not.

Maybe I should be more generous and think that it had nothing to do with any flaws of human nature but that there were instead 30+ visitors way less "capable" than I was, (which is a bit hard to believe however). I was stupid, the problem was stupid, the solution was stupid in proportion and the 30+ people who visited this post after the logs were posted and didn't write a word have to have been even more INTELLIGENT than the op.

To conclude I want to express my most sincere gratitude to the one poster who at least offered to look at the log.
