Solved mynetfone trunk doesn't seem to even try to register.

Hi Guys,

I've been banging my head against this one for a few days now. I am trying to set up a mynetfone trunk and is its one of the old trunks that isn't IP based have been looking at the generic sip registration setup as detailed in a few posts here and some in other places. The problem is that as far as I can tell it never even tries to register.

The setup is as follows



But when I accept this, the dashboard shows


and as far as I can tell it never tries to register (can't find any mention of it in any logs, but I could be looking in the wrong place).

What am I missing here? I'm sure it will be something simple.

Hi Peter,

You set up an IP based trunk. Those don't register, they just know the IP of the SIP Trunk provider, and send the invite to that IP whenever you make a call. So theoretically, you should be able to send the call out.

I also noticed you added a proxy which may not be necessary in this case. You might also want to search the forum with mynetphone and see other configs.

Than you @aws2p. That was what I missed. Changed it, then pressed register all and boom, up and running. Now to get the call routes happening.

Thanks @JonnS_3CX and @aws2p. All working, in and out, phones povisioned and its all happy.

Been playing with FusionPBX, PBXinaBox, freePBX and this is So much more complete.

Looking forward to learning more about this (just out of interest, dialplans??, is there such a thing?).

Dial plans exist on deskphones and are pre-configured. But if you have any specific questions or want to know how to implement a specific solution, then make a new post in General and ask away!

I suggest you describe what your end goal is, rather than get into the technicalities of "how do I replicate these settings from system XYZ on 3CX". Some things are done differently here
