Is there a way to move 3CX hosted with Azure to 3CX hosted? Currently I can no longer upgrade the version of 3CX hosted with Azure.

The FQDN for this system is kitconcpc.my3cx.ca and does not appear in my partner portal.

Currently the 3CX system kitconcpc.my3cx.ca is turned off in Azure. I believe I missed a major update last year when the 3CX VM in Azure was powered down. FYI, we only use this 3CX system during Canadian elections which occur only once every 4 years.

If the server is not on 18 update 5 (IIRC) then it can't activate and you will need to reinstall and restore from backup. We do our own hosting so not sure about your migration question. In general, yes it should be possible with a backup and restore. However double check...I believe if servers aren't active/making calls in 3CX hosting for 2 months they are deleted. That might just be the old, free accounts though? Apologies for the lack of detail.

Is there any update on this? Would like to move from Azure to 3CX hosting. I have an existing 3CX registered domain that I would like to use.

Do you have a backup? Simply order hosting from 3CX and restore your backup.

I assume that a backup can only be restored to a hosted paid version of 3CX?

The backup I have is for version 16, will this restore to the latest hosted version?

Should work with trial, hosted by 3CX or yourself, as long as it's the dedicated version.

Shouldn't be an issue.

Hi, please note that backups from previous versions can only be restored during the installation process.

If you plan to move to 3CX Hosted, please check that the backup includes the license key information and it is less than 1GB, in that way you will be able to upload it and restore.
