I have a 3CX server running in Azure, with an IPSec VPN connecting to my clients office. The connection seems to work. However, while you can direct call each extensions. Extension to extension calls do not work. Goes straight to VM.

what is the status of PBX Delivers Audio on the individual extensions, and what kind of phones are you using, and are they provisioned as remote/direct stun, or local?

PBX Delivers Audio is disabled now that each extension has been set to local

Please answer the rest of the questions or else i cannot offer complete advise.

I had updated the original ticket with the phones.

Yealink T58's connected via WiFi
All the extensions are local/ and PBX audio is disabled.

Before I setup the VPN the extensions were set to remote/ stun and PBX Delivers audio was enabled on all the extensions.

OK, now that i have a complete picture, so we have seen a scenario like this before, note that when you reprovision a phone just from the Phones page remotely after changing it from Stun to local, or vise versa, this does not fully replace the config/template, we have seen before where you must factory reset the phone and re-provision it to get it to fully work properly.

IF you have option 66 setup on the local DHCP this becomes easier, as then you only have to join the phone to the wifi, or connect a cable and it will self provision after being factory reset.

Reset 2 phones, rejoin the wifi and provision them, and see if they work then.

OK I'll try it again. Would regenerating the configuration file help?

The config on the 3CX server is not the issue, its that the phone has likely retained some old settings, i do not believe that will make a difference.

We have seen the same behavior if a phone that has been previously used on 3cx server, and then is provisioned to another without being factory reset have many issues, tho it will appear to work at first glance, factory reset is a nessicery evil in most cases, which is why option 66 is so important to have in place, for us it is policy to put it in place anywhere our phones are deployed, so that factory resets cause the phone to re-provision automatically.

I think that was it. I do setup option 66, makes life easy.

Thanks!
