I'm going to close this thread now. Let's have partner based discussions in the dedicated partner forum. I believe most licensing questions have now been answered....
A high availability system with 3500+ devices / extensions and probably thousands of calls per week and you expect it to cost $4250 per year? Also why go for enterprise if its low usage, you can get the pro at $3000.We are in the high extension, low usage category. We are/were in the process of planning a migration of our remaining phone servers to 3CX which would take us, most likely, from the 32 to 64 SC Enterprise license. Under this new paradigm we would have to increase to 512 SC. We have contacted our 3CX partner but my guess is there won't be anything we/they can do. Isn't $4250 > $0? I'm confused/disappointed by this change.
Hi Charles, thanks for the reply. Is there a way to prevent the M365 sync from creating additional 3CX users? I explain in more details what I experience in this post:Hi,
Microsoft 365 does not need to create additional users for SSO. The user sync feature simply matches existing 3CX users whose email addresses correspond to their Microsoft 365 accounts, ensuring seamless single sign-on without duplication.
I can only speak for the german area, there are no cheaper solutions with the same features. This seals the deal for us transitioning to another solution. We have over 200 extensions but only have 10 sip trunks from our VOIP provider and our utilization averages less than 2 simultaneous calls.
There's an educational discount. This is not good for a public school district. We have many phone extensions in school classrooms that are almost never used but are wanted for emergency and safety purposes. Our small district has a small budget. We have loved 3CX but this is now going to be a 4 times increase in price! But we won't be getting any more use out of it. Our maximum simultaneous calls is already probably 4 times what our usually daily max is, but we didn't mind paying that.
It's possibly still the cheapest quality system you can buy for a school even with this change. The school I helped chose to renew for 3 years to get the 30% discount plus still getting their 20% school discount. Only thing "cheaper" would be roll your own but that just costs time. This is not good for a public school district. This have your reseller make sure they're getting this for you. It does help. There's an educational discount.
That is true. Looking at the new quote for a 64SC....it's still much better than systems other school districts around us are paying, and it's been working great for us.It's possibly still the cheapest quality system you can buy for a school even with this change. Founded in 2005, when VoIP was an emerging technology, 3CX has gone on to establish itself as a global leader in business communications.
