Makes these phones provisionable again!

Are you an existing user affected by the removal of provisioning of Yealink T29G, T46G, and T48G models? A new special firmware has been released which will allow you to once again provision these Yealink IP Phone models securely via 3CX.

Why were these phone models removed in ...

This is great news! Thanks @Nick Galea and others for working with Yealink to continue supporting these models. The community appreciates it.

@Nick Galea Nice there is a new firmware update for this. Is there also an update coming for the Yealink DECT W52P and W56P? Or will update 6 also fix the issue for them?

No those have to manually configured. Same for t41p...

This is a big deal for us. Thank You @Nick Galea for working with Yealink on this!
Regarding the FW Updates - is there a way for us to roll them out to phones on update 4?
We've held off on update 5 until we could get some client handsets upgraded/updated.

That is to be expected on Update 5. It does not know about this new firmware version yet - that comes in update 6.

Is it likely the T42G will get an update? Or will I need to replace/manually provision?

As mentioned in other posts too, the models in the guide are the only ones that will receive this firmware update according to the manufacturer.

Any other models will need to be done manually.

Thought that, Thanks

Thank you @Nick Galea for your work with Yealink on this. We understand it is not without effort and it is appreciated.
We have a lot of T48G phones installed across our customer base.

Thanks for both effort 3CX and Yealink, sure you've saved life to lot of customers worldwide
T48G manual upgrade went like a breeze, I noticed after upgrade, console is displaying T48 as an unsupported firmware, I guess this is expected behavior until U6 ?

I was answered above and yes, it's expected.

Question was already answered , sorry for useless question, I didn't took the time to travel through all previous answers

With no T42G version, you say "do it manually" - unclear what I'm supposed to do manually. Provision them?

Is the reason we have phones refusing to load the remote phone book related to this issue? Coz we can't do that manually...

The remote phone book will no longer work on those phones.

If the remote phonebook is required by users, those phones will need to be replaced. We have hundreds of them out there, and only a handful of users have noticed. Those get replaced, and the rest are fine - until there is a change of BLF keys/User/etc., in which case those changes need to be done manually.

Hello,

Is there an eta for update 6? Couldn't find a roadmap.

Thanks in advance,

Remi

Would it be possible to get a rough estimate of when Update 6 is released? We want to schedule our routine upgrade runs, but want to minimise any impact Update 5 may bring regarding the loss of these handsets.
