Hi,

I'm running 3CX v15 on a vps and I would like to install a fresh v16 instance but my vps provider won't allow me to install from an ISO.

Is the 3CX Debian ISO the only way to install 3CX now ?

Regards,

David

to make things easy for you , why not trying a supported provider usable with pbxepress.
Amazon, google, ovh......

Because they are much more expensive. My vps only costs 5€/month. I've been running 3CX for almost 2 years and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Until not so long ago my installation was supported, I don't know why it has changed and we are now supposed to use a 3CX provided ISO when it used to be as simple as running an apt command...

Not sure if related but 3CX ISO files are now related to Debian 10, so is it a supported VM you can get on your provider. Also it seems a need to have 30Gb HDD space for 3CX use.

I sure can get a Debian 10 vps, but how to install 3CX then ?

Do you have Debian 10 VM available on provider. Not sure if it's a transition problem coming from install process Deb9 not aplying to Deb10

I found a doc on 3CX.fr but this is related to DEB9 , are you interested by the link (it's in french)

Sorry, i'm not a linux guru to help you more advanced, but for sure it seems to me there's a mix (deb9 or deb 10) or a miss in 3cx docs about manual install on Deb10

Just wait advices from another guy more Linux experienced or 3CX Staff during the next week

It seems this would do :

Code:
echo "deb http://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/debian buster main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/3cxpbx.list

Did they stop manual installation? Seriously?????

See my previous post, I managed to install 3CX manually using :

Bash:
echo "deb http://downloads-global.3cx.com/downloads/debian buster main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/3cxpbx.list
