yes, it is going to my sales queue. I can take ownership of the call from the webclient and the current iPhone app, so I know it is going to a queue.

Hi Marco
1 - will be addressed in next TestFlight beta
2 - your Windows extension should be configured in Management Console as supporting re-invite and replaces - in fact, any extension expected to receive video calls should be configured this way.
1 - Fantastic - Nice work on the new app!
2 - Both extensions I tested with have the option enabled. I believe all have option enabled. Only difference between the extensions some have PBX Delivers Audio, others do not.

Is the voicemail indicator operational now? There are a couple of cosmetic issues - but this is a real show-stopper for me.

No. Hopefully coming in an update.

There will be a red "bullet" on the menu button as indicator for new voicemails - expect the new beta to be released today.

Sorry, are you saying the "old" voicemail indicator will no longer be available? Users have to click on the in-app menu to see if they have emails?

Yes, that's correct, the old voicemail IS no longer available. In the future, I don't know. If there will be some news, we'll let you know.

Vali, I know the effort that has gone into the new iOS client - but surely 3cx can't think that dropping the voicemail indicator is an acceptable compromise? Can you imagine if Microsoft decided to remove the new email notification icon from Outlook and suggested users open a submenu to see if they had new mail instead?

I really don't understand why add major new functionality like video calling and lose essential "basic" features like a MWI? It's not like users will even have a choice - in order to maintain push notifications, we'll HAVE to upgrade to a less functional phone client?

Again, I don't think I'm being over critical. I'm not dismissing the effort required to uplift the phone client to integrate with Apple's newer technologies - but I don't understand how existing features are dropped with a shrug and "might come back or might not".

I WILL NOT be able to "sell" the new iOS app to the users on the basis that they have no notification on the front screen. The windows client and iOS client is the sole reason we purchased 3cx and seemingly at a whim you guys have just dropped some functionality - I assume you planned to remove the MWI? It didn't just happen somehow...

If a MWI prevents you from selling 3CX, then maybe you should sell something else.

We have the Push notification, it's at least that. Maybe add a blue dot to the menu icon? So we know to check the menu? That could work.

Thanks for your considered view - I don't resell 3cx - i spent company funds and a LOT of hours setting 3cx up for the second time in 4 years, got the system through user review and approval - and a month later 3cx drop an existing, basic piece of functionality.

And it's not about "not being able to sell 3cx because it lacks MWI" - it's because it already damn-well had MWI and the developer has just chosen to remove it. Clients have NO CHOICE but to update the iOS app losing something they already have.

I asked about the MWI on iOS a month ago (or more) when I tested the Beta before I'd started to roll 3cx to the users - if 3cx had replied and clearly indicated this was the direction they were taking, I would not have proceeded. But now, countless Windows installs, Sennheiser DW10/Ofiice headsets purchased, Sennheiser SC660s for the laptops purchased, custom code to provide group voicemail, CFD development, Pro license... and all I can expect is a huge backlash from the existing users :(

The original post says customers will find the new iOS client so good they will reconsider the need to have an IP phone on the desk at all...

I'll just see if I can explain why progress means the new iOS client can't even match the functionality of the 20 year-old PBX (Nortel Norstar) which 3cx replaced :(

If a "blue dot" could be added to the menu... how is that ANY different to just keeping the existing MWI in the icon area?

"I WILL NOT be able to "sell" the new iOS app to the users on the basis that they have no notification on the front screen"

I've just mentioned above - there will be a visual notification on the front screen, the red bullet on the main menu button.

OMG LOL - you mean next to the three bars for the menu on the front screen? I really thought you meant what it's like now with the voicemail indicator ON the menu at the voicemail option... SORRY!

No double call notification. When you are on the line with 3CX, if someone is calling you, the screen is showing a double call but there is no notification by "sound".
As you are probably not watching your screen at the same time you are on the phone, it could be good to fixe it...

Problem with the contact directory:
If you are looking for a contact nammed ABC-PARIS you are searching on the directory with PARIS, it does not point you anymore to ABC-PARIS but shows no result.
In the previous version it was not the case.
