I recorded a new SELECT_CALL_BY prompt to correct the error in the out of the box recording. The new recording seems to have uploaded correctly but the change has not taken effect when callers enter into the Call by Name menus. I see that when you record a new system prompt using a phone set the following applies:
Note: For the recorded files to come into effect, go to 3CX Services Status and restart the 3CX SIP Server
Does the same requirement of rebooting the 3CX SIP Server task also apply when a new system prompt is uploaded (not recorded via a phone)? And if yes, does the stop and start of the process take long? Should I be aware of any impacts of starting and stoping this services - phones need to re-register, other processes will fail and need to be restarted, etc.?
I am essentially wondering if I can do this during office hours with an alert to all users that phones will be down for a couple minutes or if this is a much longer after-hours only, type of work.
