Good evening,

I am a new 3CX user and recently when I was trying to setup a 3rd party softphone (Linphone), I got my IP address blacklisted with 3CX. I have since deleted Linphone from my PC so it does not attempt to authenticate with 3CX.

Below are the details of the environment:
  • Environment: Homelab trying to learn about PBX/VOIP.
  • Account: 3CX free tier.
  • My home internet is behind CGNAT so it seems that all my access through my network is blacklisted.
Could someone please assist on how can I get my access restored?

Thank you in advance.

Why not use the 3CX softphone?

I am using 3CX softphone on my phone but there is no official app for my Linux desktop. I was trying to use Linphone as I was under the impression that it should work in a similar manner. Seems like that is not the case :)

Use the PWA on a linux desktop. It will save you a lot of hassle, and you will be able to configure the PBX from there as well.

The web client can also be used. You dont need to use a softphone on a linux machine.

Thank you for the suggestion but I have since learned that PWA can be used instead of a Linux app. I am very new to 3CX and the PBX/VOIP world in general I was a 3CX user for one day before I had my IP blacklisted :)

The blacklisting will expire in 24 hours from the time it happened.

What is the PWA? Do we need a softphone in Linux to be able to make a calls with SMB 3CX account?
I mean theoretically can we use just a Linux desktop to make a calls ?
