Hi.
I want to use 3CX on my home VoiP service - South Africa, on our cellphones.
My service provider wants to charge me R400 per month (approx. US$25 per month) to host 3CX for me.
I see that I can purchase a Free Edition and thereafter have to pay 3CX approximately US$95 annually for maintenance. This is less than 1/3 of the price my ISP wants to host for me.
Can anybody advise me:
1.What is the meaning of my ISP hosting 3CX for me ? Will I not be able to just use my own 3CX subscription without involving my ISP ?
2. Is there a difference in service between paying US$95 annually for maintenance and paying my ISP for hosting ? Or is this just some different terminology being used to charge me more by my ISP?

Thank you

Hi,
you can install your 3CX on premise, no need at all for a hoster , and if you use a cloud pbx you aren't obliged to use from your ISP.
If it's for privatel home use , then no need to install on cloud.
Free edition stay free unlimited (until 3CX change his marketing) so normally you can go for free.
