I have been using my personal Nokia 5.1, Android 10 October Security Update, without any major issues since starting to trial 3CX last year and going live in July this year.
As the ICT Manager for my company, I am responsible for the purchase of mobile phones, and three years ago Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) were purchased, however, these have the issue of not being able to answer an incoming 3CX call when the screen is locked. So we are looking to upgrade and I have just purchased a Nokia 5.3 to test, which also runs Android 10 October Security Update, but there is one major issue. The audio from the Nokia 5.3 is silent for the first 5 to 20 seconds of the call, i.e. no audio is heard at the other end. There is no delay using the Nokia 5.1 at all.
I am testing both the Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 5.3 with the latest 3CX Android app and configured as the same extension number. I am then calling, or calling from, an extension which terminates on a Yealink T46S connected to our corporate network which connects to a SBC internally which connects to our PBX in the cloud (on Amazon Lightsail). I have tested both Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 5.3 phones connected using mobile data only or on Wi-Fi (using an Access Point connected to the same physical network as the Yealink T46S). The audio delay issue on the Nokia 5.3 is the same in all scenarios, with no audio issue experienced in the same scenarios on the Nokia 5.1.
Has anyone else experienced the same or something similar? Am I missing something somewhere on the configuration of the Nokia 5.3 or PBX? Should I be considering a different Nokia phone or maybe even a Samsung phone as a better option?
Thanks in advance.
John
