Hi guys.

Just migrated from Trixbox 2.6.2....to 3CX 7.1. Anyways here is our sob story:

We have VPN's setup between our offices using Juniper routers. Same old story, everything worked fine using Trixbox. We could connect and initiate an audio/video call with eyebeam using the G711 ulaw audio and H.263 video codecs. Trying this now, we can call and connect to one another, but, looking at the logs there are NO RTP packets being transferred. The logs show we connected and then when nothing happened we just hung up. Since, of course, we have different subnets for the locations we added the [network] LocalSubnets=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/24,...etc to the .ini file. We also forced eyebeam to try using the 7000-7499 ports and/or 9000-9049 ports. We have turned STUN on and off in 3CX to no avail. In Trixbox we had the option to turn NAT OFF for each extension. Just wondering if there is such an option 3CX. Trixbox worked with NAT turned off since we are already VPN'ed between the offices.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for everyone's time!

Jason

IF the VPN falls under the local subnet range, then it will use 7000-7499 port range.

Turning on and off stun wont really help because the problem you have is much before. You have problem in Local Lan environment already. Therefore you can leave stun on.

I am concerned about the local subnet change you made.

Can you describe the topology exactly? Send it to me at [email protected] with IP addr and everything. Also can you send me a backup of your system? (Generate support info will be enough)

Do you use the proxy feature of the Xlite?
Make sure that the Xlite is unbound from the Media server (PBX DELIVERS AUDIO IS OFF). Video will not work if this is bound. For video to work phones have to communicate audio on their own.

Hi guys.

Back at it again with Eyebeam 11049-54436 (latest build). Our network has been redone. We currently have VPN connections and our other SIP phones work just fine. Eyebeam registers fine. The problem is that the phones dial, but, calling the other Eyebeam client w/video results in NO RINGING at all. The Eyebeam clients shows it trying to call the other client, but, no connection, ringing...you name it.

Any suggestions for a working config? We have followed the FAQ to the letter and still nothing.

Thanks for everyone's time.

Jason

Make sure that any eyebeam using Video codecs are not bound to media server. Also make sure that they are not recording.

You must make the EYEBEAMS setup the calls through the PBX but must pass the audio directly between them.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, still the same. Double-checked everything again.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
