No audio with 3CXPhone and Sennheiser D 10 USB ML

These two are mutually listed as supported, but it's essentially not working at all. Sennheiser Headsetup Pro and the Sennheiser 3CXPhone Plugin are both installed, yet

• there is no audio reception beyond ringing (which I believe is generated by the headset itself and not an audiostream from the softphone) from 3CXPhone (other applications output their audio to the headset, so it works)
• there is no audio transmission, either
• calls can't be properly accepted by the headset button - the first push while ringing terminates the DECT connection and the second push reconnects and accepts the call in one press for some reason. Disconnecting a call works.
• no outgoing calls can be made (resulting in instantaneous "call failed"; the PBX doesn't log anything so it does not seem like it is even contacted).

PBX and the computer running 3CXPhone are on the same LAN; I tried disabling the Windows 10 firewall, but that changes nothing. There is a 3CXPhone allow-all-incoming-traffic rule, which is enabled. Using wireshark I can see that the computer is receiving RTP packets, but not sending any RTP data packets (only RTP report packets etc.).

The computer has no audio hardware enabled beyond the Sennheiser D 10.

I face some issues with Sennheiser headsets too but I still can call. How is configured your headset ? Direct USB to computer ? I use only Headsetup Pro no plugin,

1. Close windows client
2. Close Headsetup Pro
3. Ensure headset is connected properly
4. Launch Headsetup pro
5. Launch the 3CX Webclient (not the Windows client) from Chrome
5. Make a test call

I didn't attempt to use the web client on this particular machine, since we require TAPI on that one as well (hence 3CXPhone with the Multiline-TAPI-Plugin).

The solution in the end was to exchange the D10 USB for a D10 Phone, some (overall expensive) EHS cabling and adapters, and a Snom desk phone with a TAPI driver. This configuration worked flawlessly right out of the box, although it is quite a bit more expensive.
