Calls in a ring group are forwarded to a user, and their voicemail box picks up the call. However, despite the email attachment option being enabled, no email with the voicemail recording is sent.

• This setup works correctly for other ring groups and users.
• The configuration appears identical to those where it works as expected.
• Additionally, no email notifications are sent for missed calls either.
I am unable to identify an option that could be influencing this behavior. Any insights or troubleshooting steps would be appreciated.

Hi, that is weird. Can you confirm if the same fail happens when you call direct to the 'user' in question?

ie, I think your flow of calls is thus?

Inbound call > ring group > forward to USERNAME > hits voicemailbox for USERNAME
for this flow you have a voice mail arrive you can hear in the USERNAME voicemailbox
and yet there is no email sent, despite the option is set

so then test?

Inbound call > DIRECT to USERNAME > dump voice mail > does this give you an email ?
for that matter does the 3cx - client (web app version is fine? or the PWA or smarpthoneApp) -> do they show 'missed calls" status tag in this scenario either ?

In my experience email is handled 100% hands-off by 3cx / via their mail relay / in same manner that the FQDN SSL certs are also out of our control. So it is weird if you have mail flow is good for one path (similar, but different) and yet not working for another
(ie, we don't have option to change or break-fix how mail flow actualy works under the hood)

ie, this might need a reply from 3cx team who have seen this before, OR an end-user person who also maybe is familiar with
(ie, not me, sorry if I can't actually help)

Have emails originating from 3CX worked, for this user, previously? Since emails to others are working, the issue may be the destination email address.

Thanks for your input! I could solve it, by using an email (domain) alias instead of the used email address - destination is the same google group, so still no idea why this solved the issue, but solved anyways.

Thanks for helping!
