I have 2 extensions that are set to forward calls after 1 second when there the ring group does not answer the phone. But it goes to an automated message that says transfer failed. I was sure they have rights, and they are assigned a group as the other extensions are in as well.

Can you post pics of the forwarding rules for those extensions and the ring groups details?

This is for the main operator

WOW, 1 second is not even 1 ring, maybe you should just set the number as mobile, and have id ring mobile simultaneously. but current setup will never work

Yes 1 second but now im hearing that is not what is happening. Its more along the line of ring and no answer. But i tested myself and the logs show calls are terminating but the carrier states that a 200OK was received whic hmeans there was an answer but 3CX shows no answer. Still confused on this

Good luck with your project, i dnt think it will work

What i had originally was fail over on the ring group but the ring group did not send the caller to the external number. I really didnt want another extension

I'm not clear...are these two extensions, members of a ring group, or, dummy extensions, that a ring group no answer, sends a call to, to allow the call to forward to an outside number?

@greatchoice

If these extensions are members of a Ring Group and it is the Ring Group you are calling, then the transfer will not take place.

If however, they are set as the "Destination if no answer" of the Ring group, then it should work provided everything else is in order. If this is the case, I'd recommend using the "Forward to Outside" number for the "Destination if no Answer" of the Ring Group instead. If I understood correctly, you've already tried this and it didn't work.

Provided I assumed correctly, what I'd recommend first is, from an extension, just try to dial the number exactly as it is shown in the screenshot, does the call go through?
