No registration

I have a Voip phone a Linksys SPA-941 and I'm trying to connect it to the 3cx
could somebody help me with this , ??
the 3CX is open I have the extension in the system, only the number shows as registered, the 2 extensions are not registering. [/list]

THis is the bit i do not understand.

Can you elaborate on that?

On your phone make sure you have the correct IP and if you can setup gateway on the phone make sure you enter the 3cx ip as gateway.

Try en able and disable external and bind to media server in advanced settings of your extension.

the voip phone lines are registerd, the green lights are on in the Line status page, the extensions are not registering.
the IP in the extensions are correct and are pointing to the3CX server.

are the lights for the extensions green aswell?

That is weird.

ok try to recreate the lines

And post the log so we can have a look at it.

similar problem

actually this is not a reply.it is that a i am facing similar problems. i cannot make the extensions to register.

About the IP of the voip phones.you have said that as a gateway i must give the IP of the PC that the 3cx software is installed?because at this moment as gateway i have given the IP of the modem router.

please give me any info you can. thanks in advance

Oops sorry mate,

In an ISA config where the 3cx sits on the isa box that would be the case.

Here is a common scenario:

Modem/router: 192.168.0.1
IP Phone: 192.168.0.151
3CX Server: 19.168.0.2


Config in IP phone could be:

Gateway: 192.168.0.1 (is for your IP phone to get the date and time thingies. It is to tell the phone the route to the outside world (not for the phone calls)

Sip domain name/Registration Server Addr/Proxy Serv addr/default router: 19.168.0.2
