I've been trying to troubleshoot a problem I've been having. So far it looks like the problem is either hardware or the PBX. For info, running on the 3cx hosted and using a Panasonic TGP-600. The phone is configured to call a ring-group and fail over to a mobile number if no one picks up.

Today I tried calling the number associated with the account. There was no ring tone at all when the number was dialed.

According to the log the the call " has failed; Cause: 408 Request Timeout/INVITE from local".

This has happened a few times; the other times I factory reset the Panasonic and tweaked the config settings to try and make it work. However, oddly, the last time this happened I deleted blocked IPs on the blacklist and it started working. This time, I deleted the latest blocked IP and my calls started going through again. Now this IP has absolutely nothing to do with the setup or access at all, and was just a random IP. At this point, rather than hardware, it's looking like some setting config in the 3cx PBX system.

Would appreciate if anyone has some suggestions on why deleting a random IP would result in the line working again.

Resolved. Still don't know why the deletion of an IP got it working again, but as far as I can tell, it was some sort of misconfig in the trunk settings or the way the DID was routed.
